Your Next Queer Read & More – Winnipeg Public Library

The Winnipeg Public Library has a site dedicated to 2SLGBTQ+ resources.  Here they have pages such as “Your Next Queer Read,” with award winning and staff recommended queer literature, a resource page where they feature new books they’ve recently received and a history section with book recommendations and links to further resources on 2SLGBTQ+ history both from around the world.


The Manitoba Gay and Lesbian Archive – The University of Manitoba

The Manitoba Gay and Lesbian Archive is a collection of Manitoban 2SLGBTQ+ media and pieces of history curated over several decades, from 1974 to 2002.  It is currently hosted on the University of Manitoba Library website.


Two-Spirit Archives – The University of Winnipeg

An archive of material from the Two-Spirit community, with the intent of promoting research to support the community and increase visibility. Contains academic material, links to archives and web resources, literature and more.


Transgender Archives

An archive hosted by the University of Victoria featuring preserved publications, media, history-related work and more from the Transgender community.  Currently the largest collected Trans archive in the world.

 

 Man on Manitoba is made possible by the contributions of dedicated volunteers, partners across Manitoba, and support from the Community-Based Research Centre, a national organization that promotes the health of Gay, Cis, Trans and Two-Spirit men in Canada.
