The Employment and Income Assistance Program (EIA) provides financial aid to Manitobans who have no other way to support themselves or their families. It includes benefits from the Rent Assist Program which assists with housing costs. For people who are able to work, EIA will help them go back to work by providing supports to employment.

Manitoba Housing provides an array of subsidized housing throughout the province of Manitoba. They partner with other governments, community organizations and private groups to create safe and affordable housing.

Winnipeg Harvest strives to ensure all Manitobans who need it have access to emergency and temporary food support. Food hampers contain 10-14 days of food support to help stretch budgets over a four week period.

Within EI benefits, there are an array of options for people to apply under. For example, there are regular benefits, one can apply for this if they have lost their income through no fault of their own.
