PrEP Incubator:

Educating and Advocating for PrEP Access in Manitoba!

Man on Manitoba, an initiative supported by The Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC), along with the Village Lab at the University of Manitoba invite you to participate in an evening of compelling and thought-provoking presentations to educate and advocate for universal PrEP access for all Manitobans, including 2SGBQ+ cis and trans men.  

Background:

Manitoba is the only province without full PrEP coverage, which is 99% effective at preventing HIV. Worse yet, little advocacy and awareness raising has taken place to support access to PrEP for our First Nations relatives who are 100% covered for this medication under the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch benefits program. 

The time to change this is now!

Who should attend:

Anyone with an interest in learning more about PrEP, including community members, service providers, researchers, Elders and knowledge keepers, policy makers, government representatives and officials, and representatives from community-based organizations who are currently providing services to 2SGBQ+ trans and cis men, or whose work is related to 2SGBQ+ men’s health are encouraged to attend.

This event will take place Wednesday, June 23rd from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm virtually via a Zoom Webinar that will be hosted in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional land of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
